Don’t Follow the Wave (DFTW) provides transformative career development experiences through its workshops and immersive programs for student-athletes. In partnership with the Sports and Entertainment Equity Network (SEEN) and Launchpad, DFTW hosts annual Sports Business Career Workshops during NBA All-Star Weekend and throughout the year of full-day career immersions at leading companies like Paramount, Sony, and Netflix. These experiences connect students with top executives, mentors, and creatives, offering hands-on learning, industry access, and the tangible tools needed to turn ambition into opportunity.

Through basketball, AE5 inspires the youth to grow as players, leaders, and individuals, equipping them with the tools, exposure, and discipline to reach their full potential and earn opportunities at the next level and beyond.

From holiday givebacks that ensure families are supported, to exposure events that open doors to new possibilities, DFTW creates meaningful opportunities and partnerships that make a lasting impact across Atlanta and Minneapolis, bridging communities and meeting diverse needs.

Each summer, youth basketball players in the Atlanta area are presented with an extraordinary opportunity to enhance their skills at the Annual Anthony Edwards Basketball Camp. Led by Olympian and NBA All-Star Anthony Edwards, this camp provides aspiring athletes with the chance to learn directly from one of the NBA’s most dynamic players.
